Half of our customers prefer Spanish. Not as a language “option” with a Google-translate button, as the primary language for the contract they sign, the design they approve, and the call when something goes wrong at 9pm.
Founders who grew up in MA
Andres, Emmanuel and Leudis grew up in Lawrence and Lynn. They watched older relatives sign solar contracts they couldn’t fully read because the salesperson was in a hurry and there was no Spanish copy. Two of those contracts ended up in litigation. BHS exists in part because of that.
What “bilingual” actually means here
- Quotes in either language, side-by-side numbers if you want to compare with what someone else gave you.
- Contracts in EN or ES, both legally binding versions of the same agreement.
- Crew on the install day: at least one Spanish speaker, always. We won’t send a job without one.
- Customer service: same phone tree, no “press 2 for Spanish” that drops you into a different (slower) queue. Whichever language you call in, you get the same response time.
- This website: not Google-translated. Every page is hand-written in both languages by native speakers on the team.
The data
Our Lawrence service area has ~55% Hispanic population and the highest BHS install volume of any MA city. That’s not a coincidence. When a community can trust a contractor in their own language, word travels through families and churches faster than any ad we could buy.
If you don’t speak Spanish
You’re welcome too. Half our customers don’t. The point isn’t exclusion, it’s that nobody gets a worse experience because of which language they’re most comfortable in.
